this week went fast

this is the last day of my magnificent spring break. my major accomplishments of the week include: a trip to marietta, doing a record amount of laundry, brewing a batch of beer and playing a gig with engine room. didn’t spring break use to be exciting? i also discovered that the hose for my vacuum is shot which delayed some major apartment cleaning.

i'd better slow down or this lifestyle is going to kill me.

my new camera came today. my personal 2005 tech upgrade is now "complete". this means that i have most of the stuff that i have been craving (new computer ipod etc...). let's see how long i stay satisfied.

i took a pic of my grill because i think i interact with it more than any one person.

will everyone please take out their rocket science manuals

I’m sure many of you have made use of the self check out in grocery stores. They are very handy for those who only have a few items to purchase (25 items or less in our local stores). You scan your stuff, swipe your card and get the hell our right? WHY DOES THIS SIMPLE PROCESS BECOME A SCIENCE FAIR PROJECT WHEN I GET IN LINE?!?!?!?! I understand that not everyone is obsessed with finding ways to improve their personal efficiency at these checkouts like I am but please, if you don’t know how to use these machines ask for help or at least observe someone else use one. Also, learn to count or at least approximate. A couple in front of me today had TWO shopping carts. Quite a hassle for and onion and 3 cans of mushroom soup.

By the way, my resent research assignment received an "A". Dr, Flowers’ comment was "you’re a man of few words, but it was a good paper".

Few words indeed.
