After leaving my hometown of Marietta, OH I spent the summer of 1997 touring with the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps based in Canton OH. In 2001 i graduated from Capital University in Columbus with a bachelor's degree in music education. After graduation I taught in central Ohio for five years at Westland High School. Currently i am the assistant band director in the Gatesville ISD and occupy myself by playing music, reading, watching football, home brewing.

The funny story about this photo is that I was actually standing pretty far away. I used the zoom on my camera to zoom waaaayyyy in and snap the pic.
The next thing I knew, which is obvious from the picture is that the snake charmer had spotted me. He immediately put the lids on the snakes and rushed up to me demanding to be paid some incredible price as a fee for his snake charming skills and the photo. I tried to just walk away but he followed and I ended up giving him some money for the picture (or to get him to leave me alone)!
