i finally got around to seeing the new bond flick. here is my report card:

overall B ( 1:about as predictable as most of the 007 films, 2: the amount of twist in the last 15 minutes was somewhat annoying.)

john says it is a warm gun buy i say it is a new korg synth. the TR has all of the groovy sounds of the famed Triton but not all of the sampling sophistication that bands can't use anyway. and it cost's 1k less. now to figure this mother out...

time off

this is the first saturday in quite a while where i have nothing to do. the last few weeks went something like this:

made finals at area but did not advance to state. i'm not going to say that we were robbed but seriously misread. the band that won our area received a severe beating at state making it more obvious that the team of special ed judges who we had at area sent the wrong bands (again).

i have been to san antonio 3 times in the last week. first to check out churchill's rehearsal, then for the BOA regional where L.D. Bell nearly achieved maximum badassness, and finally for the 3A and 5A state contest. watching 5A prelims is like watching national semifinals and as far as 3A finals, i'll just say i now have a better understanding on how to program. don't do anything too difficult or innovative because you will receive no credit.

hopefully the channel that is scheduled to have the osu game today truly does, and not this "not available in your area" manure.
