moving along

it's been an exciting few weeks. on saturday the band advanced to the state contest. this is the second time in the schools history that they have done so. it is really bad ass that we made it but now we have to deliver the goods or look like morons. not much else going on. i managed to not throw anything through the tv yesterday when the steelers collapsed like a house of cards against the giants. i've been working on anger issues lately...

until you have experienced a presidential election season in small texas town. i think that i could spontaneously combust if i hear one more declaration of "obama's gonna take our guns away!" from a twelve year old. i saw a bumper sticker today that said something like "democratic votes cause $4 gasoline". the irony to anyone with either all their teeth or an IQ higher than 12 is that this sticker was on a big ass dodge ram. shouldn't i be watching the debate right now? yeah probably.
